Sea Otter and Bull Kelp sterling silver large round earrings

The Sea Otter and Bull Kelp large round sterling silver earrings are designed and engraved by island artisan jeweller Laura Dutheil. The Sea Otter and Bull Kelp earrings are story telling earrings that tell the story of a keystone species on Haida Gwaii.

The Sea Otter helps preserve our Kelp forests by grazing on urchins which controls the urchins from overpopulating and decimating our Kelp. The Kelp forests provide vital shelter and nutrients to our creatures below.

The Sea Otter also needs to anchor itself to the kelp seaweed with a leg or tail while feeding itself urchins for survival!

The Sea Otter and Bull Kelp large round sterling silver earrings are 1 inch 1/8 round and .5mil thickness of silver. The hooks are sterling silver. On the back of the earrings are the artists' initials "LD" and the words "Sea Otter" on one and "Bull Kelp" on the other.

Packaged in a branded box and polish cloth with anti -tarnish tab for storage.
